The Certificate III in Community Services is your entry point into a rewarding career supporting individuals, families, and communities through person-centred, practical assistance. This nationally recognised qualification is designed for those passionate about social impact, and keen to provide frontline support within community-based organisations.
Through this course, you’ll build foundational skills in effective communication, cultural sensitivity, ethical practice, and responding to client needs. You'll also learn how to provide support during crisis situations, contribute to individual and community wellbeing, and promote inclusion for people with diverse backgrounds, including those living with disability or experiencing mental health challenges.
Graduates are well-prepared to take on support roles in a variety of settings such as community centres, neighbourhood houses, youth programs, and outreach services. This course is delivered through a Virtual Classroom format, combining live, trainer-led sessions with online learning activities. You’ll attend one scheduled session per week via an online platform, where you’ll engage in real-time with your trainer and classmates just like a traditional classroom, but from the comfort of your own home.
A timetable will be provided outlining your weekly session schedule and what to expect in each class.
To succeed in this course, you’ll need access to a desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection. You’ll be expected to check your emails regularly, complete online assessments, and undertake independent study and research through the Canvas learning platform.
Requirements
Education: There are no formal education entry requirements for this course.
Minimum Age: You will need to be at least 18 years old.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy: MAX Solutions want to make sure this course is the perfect fit for you, so they’ll assess your language, literacy, and numeracy skills before enrolment.
Enrolment Application & Pre-Training Review: Get started by completing your enrolment application and online pre-training review. It’s the first step toward joining your course.
Equipment: Throughout your studies, you will be required to complete your research and assessments as well as accessing your emails using a desktop or laptop with internet availability.
National Police Check and Working With Children's Check: Safety is a top priority, which is why these checks are needed before you can start your practical placement. Let's make sure everyone feels secure and comfortable.

Course Fees & Payment Plans
If you are eligible for Government Funding your fees are:
$0 Admin Fee + $1,450 Tuition Fee (First Qualification) or
$0 Admin Fee + $1,750 Tuition Fee (Second Qualification) or
$0 Admin Fee + $240 Tuition Fee (Concession)
Payment plans for tuition fees are available, with a maximum duration of 6 months. Please note that concession card holders are not eligible for payment plans.
If you do not meet the Eligibility Criteria you can still undertake the course as a Fee For Service Student, your fee is: $6,540.
Payment plans are available to Full Fee Paying Students.
Enrolment Process
1. Fill out our Student Questionnaire
The Student Questionnaire is designed for me to get to know you a little better before I pass your details over to the RTO providing the course. This doesn't guarantee your acceptance into the course at MAX Solutions nor is it a part of their enrolment process.
2. Speak to one of our Student Liaison Coordinators
Once you have completed your Student Questionnaire, one of our Student Liaison Coordinators will give you a courtesy call to:

Ensure you have read over the study details.

Speak further about your career goals and suitability for the course.

Give you additional information and answer any further questions you may have.
If you decide that you would like to proceed with the application process after speaking with one of our Student Liaison Coordinators then we will hand your details over to MAX Solutions to begin the enrolment process.
3. Completing your enrolment
You're almost there! This next step will help finalise your enrolment before we introduce you to the MAX Solutions team. Once you've completed the Student Questionnaire, our Career Advisor will email you a Consent Form.
You'll need to fill in your name, address, date of birth, and sign the bottom of the form. Once completed, please email the signed form back to us so we can connect you with an Enrolment Officer from Max Solutions and the Canvas platform to continue with your enrolment.
After that, you'll receive your enrolment documents via Canvas, including the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test for you to complete online. If you need assistance at any stage of your enrolment, you can reach out to the Enrolment Officer through the platform.
To complete the enrolment process, you will need the following:

Unique Student Identifier (USI) – Create your USI here.

Evidence of Citizenship/Residency and Age, such as your Driver’s Licence and Medicare Card
Please have these documents ready when submitting your forms. A MAX Solutions Authorised Delegate will review your submission and determine your enrolment progression.
4. First day of class
Please note that completing your enrolment steps is compulsory before you can begin your course. This includes submitting all required forms and completing your LLN assessment. If these steps are not completed in time, your course commencement may be delayed. All your First Day details including class time, delivery method, and trainer information will be confirmed once your enrolment is finalised. You’ll receive reminders via email and SMS before your first class.
