The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care equips you with the foundational skills and knowledge to support the development, wellbeing, and learning of children in a variety of early childhood settings.
This nationally recognised qualification prepares you to work in long day care, family day care, kindergartens, and pre-schools, where you’ll help create safe, engaging, and inclusive environments. You’ll learn to support children’s routines, assist with planning play-based learning activities, promote health and hygiene, and respond to children’s physical and emotional needs with care and professionalism.

This course follows a Real Time Virtual Classroom delivery format. This entails that every week, you will have a designated day for studying via Microsoft Teams, where you'll engage with both your instructor and fellow students. These weekly sessions are thoughtfully scheduled to provide a balanced blend of hands-on practical learning and theoretical content, accommodating a diverse range of learning preferences.
Requirements
Education: There are no formal education entry requirements for this course. Students are required to attend a 1-day face-to-face First Aid class in Dandenong. However, if they have already completed the unit HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting with another provider, they may submit a Statement of Attainment, and Angel Institute of Education can arrange a credit transfer.
Minimum Age: This course is only open to those aged 18 and above.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy: Angel Institute of Education want to make sure this course is the perfect fit for you, so they’ll assess your language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills before enrolment.
Enrolment Application & Pre-Training Review: Ready to take the first step with Angel Institute of Education? You can enrol and do your pre-training review face-to-face by attending one of their onsite Information Sessions or online via Microsoft Teams. Easy peasy!
Equipment: You'll need a trusty desktop computer or laptop with internet connectivity to complete research, course assessments, and to check your emails from Angel Institute of Education.
Police Check and Working With Children's Check: Safety is a top priority, which is why these checks are needed before you can start your practical placement. Let's make sure everyone feels secure and comfortable.

Course Fees & Payment Plans
If you are eligible for Skills First Funding your fees are:
$0 Tuition Fee for Regional Residents or
$600 Tuition Fee for Concession Card holders - Metropolitan Melbourne Residents or
$3000 Tuition Fee for Metropolitan Melbourne Residents.
Skills First funded students who are required to pay the $600 or $3000 Tuition Fee can access a payment plan if they are unable to pay the full amount at the time of enrolment or by Day 1 of the course. To proceed with enrolment, the first instalment must be paid before the start of the course. Only then will Angel Institute of Education issue a Confirmation of Enrolment.
Payment plan option available:
1. A direct debit payment plan over 10 months, until the Tuition Fee is paid in full.
If you are not eligible for Victorian government funding, you can still undertake the course as a Fee For Service student. Full Fee is $7000. Payment plans are available to Full Fee Paying Students. These can be discussed with the RTO directly.
Enrolment Process
1. Fill out our Student Questionnaire
The Student Questionnaire is designed for me to get to know you a little better before I pass
your details over to the RTO providing the course. This doesn't guarantee your acceptance into the course at Angel Institute of Education nor is it a part of their enrolment process.
2. Book into an Online Pre- Training Review session
After you complete your Student Questionnaire, I will schedule an online Pre-Training Review session for you. Please provide a day and time that works best for you to attend this session. Once the booking is confirmed, you will receive an automated email containing a Microsoft Teams link to join the meeting at the scheduled time. Note: You do not need a Microsoft Teams account to join the meeting.
3. Pre-Training Review Process
The duration of your Pre-Training Review is expected to be about 15 minutes. During your session, you must present a valid photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) during the video call for verification purposes. After the pre-training review, you will receive a link to complete the enrolment application and the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) test. These requirements must be completed within 24 hours of the review.

4. First day of class
Prior to the course start date, Angel Institute of Education will contact you via email to confirm whether they have accepted your application to enrol. If you’re accepted, they’ll confirm the start date of the course, the name/email of your Trainer, the name/email of your allocated Training Coordinator, course venue and location, your course fees, fee payment information etc
